Framing and Placement Tips for M.S. Miller’s Storm

M.S. Miller’s Storm is a versatile piece that enhances a range of interior design styles with its dramatic yet serene composition.

In modern interiors, the artwork serves as a bold focal point. Pair it with a simple black or white frame to emphasize its vibrant color palette and let the piece command attention against neutral walls.

For transitional designs, Storm bridges classic and contemporary aesthetics. Use a wide mat with a wooden or metallic frame to balance its timeless impressionistic style with the space’s decor.

In industrial spaces, its moody tones and rugged textures beautifully complement exposed brick, concrete, and dark finishes. A floating frame or frameless mount accentuates its contemporary edge.

Eclectic rooms thrive with Storm’s dynamic energy. Combine it with layered textiles, bold patterns, and vibrant accents to create an engaging and cohesive design.

Hang at eye level in living areas, dining rooms, or offices with ample lighting to highlight its intricate details. Storm transforms any space, blending the beauty of contemporary American impressionist art with versatile design appeal.

About the artist

M.S. Miller is a contemporary artist whose work bridges the beauty of nature with the profound complexities of human experience. Born in Monticello, NY, Miller’s artistic journey is deeply rooted in the rich landscapes of her childhood in the Catskills and shaped by her life across nine states and 23 cities, from Mongaup Valley, NY, to Summerlin, NV. Her pieces capture the spirit of both the places she’s lived and the powerful emotions they evoke.

Miller holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Albany, and her expertise spans mixed media, oil pastels, acrylics, printmaking and watercolor painting. Influenced by postmodernism, impressionism, and the timeless beauty of renaissance and ancient art, her work stands with the finest examples of contemporary American impressionist artistry.

Themes of political protest art, activism, and the celebration of beauty are woven into her creations. As a survivor of trauma, Miller’s work conveys resilience and hope, inviting viewers to confront uncomfortable truths while finding solace in the shared human experience. Despite these heavy themes, Miller’s art also celebrates the beauty of the natural world, drawing from the awe she felt exploring landscapes similar to those of Georgia O’Keeffe and the intimate humanity found in Mary Cassatt’s work. Whether capturing a landscape photo or crafting a stunning mixed media composition, Miller’s pieces are a celebration of shared humanity and a call to kindness.

Discover the transformative power of M.S. Miller’s art and let her pieces enrich your home and inspire your soul.
